    Think “Jackie O” with a modern twist, for AW 2012 CC Kuo has turn her attention once again to 60s for inspiration.

    An illustrative selection of elegant and luxurious garments that are both contemporary and slick.
    Perfectly cut H line satin dresses, silk blouses, tapered silk trousers displayed the prints in such a modern fashion. CC toyed with the idea of modern and retro by updating the traditional tailoring element with ultra fresh printed check resulting in a collection of exquisite silk printed vest jacket trimmed with fur, traditional riding jackets done in leather with fur details or adorned with quilted silk cotton.

    Digital print has always been the vital element in CC’s collection. This time, check with jewel details is the key print and through rendering the sizes and colours, the effect is exquisite and chic. The use of strong leather and soft fur is truly original and accentuates the tailoring elements. The combination of different materials is the true and unique aesthetic of CC creation.

    It is a collection that successfully captured both the elegance and sense of fun of the period.

    SS 2012 - Wonder collection CC KUO SS2012 - The Black Stripe

    Inspiration for the Spring Summer collection comes from a black stripe dress and vintage jewellery that were in CC’s mothers wardrobe, which also reminded her of the 60s fashion icon Twiggy. Stripe is demonstrated on each garment in various ways, either by the print or the arrangements of the fabrics to create the visual aesthetic. The design and creative use of the fabrics transform the pieces and result in a covetable and quirky collection. By creating different designs with the stripes using small stripes and creating them into bigger blocks with different colours styles are remodeled completely.

    The collection features complex details such as transparent sleeves and original elements which demonstrate the creativity and thoughts from the designer. In this collection CC has again reflected her outstanding use of digital print and fashion innovation which matures each season.

    CC KUO AW2011 – Warm Modernism CC KUO AW2011 - Warm Modernism

    As usual, CC based her digital prints on a theme and this time she toys with an eccentric idea of quilted sofa where she applied the idea from prints to garment contraction; the result is outstandingly refresh and contemporary. The use of luxurious fabrics including silk, double crepe and cashmere results in a sumptuous and warm collection, accentuated graphic shapes worn with soft chunky oversize cardigans and jumpers creates a distinctive contradiction but at the same time harmonious. This is exact and unique charm of CC’s creation. Exquisite but not too delicate, strong but not too excessive.

    CC KUO SS2011 CC KUO SS2011, the second womeswear RTW collection, inspired by the iconic Audrey Hepburn.

    A very modern and edgy take on this timeless classic icon, CC played with multi faceted reflections through lustrous fabrics such as satin, and crepe.

    Using the retro silhouette of the Audrey Hepburn photographs, simple shapes are juxtaposed cleverly with CC's ultra modern signature digital prints of flower bursting into multiple faceted diamond pattern creating a very contemporary and sophisticated collection full of strikingly modern, party perfect dresses, chic separates, smart shirt and tapered trousers.
